Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) is located in Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) which is 80 km from Shanghai. The University which is a joint venture between the University of Liverpool and Xi’an Jiaotong University, opened its doors to its first intake of students in 2006, on four year undergraduate programmes. XJTLU is a research-led University and takes the best of Chinese and British Higher Education to create a new experience for staff and students. The operation of the University is supported by four seamlessly interfaced centres, including Centre for Administration, Centre for Students, Centre for Academic Services and Centre for Development & External Affairs. The directors of these four centres report directly to one of the members in the Senior Management Team – a small group of top executives who provides overall leadership to the University affairs.
