Position Overview:
Duke Kunshan University is seeking to hire an innovative and experienced professional to take the role of Director of Career Services. Duke Kunshan University (DKU) is a Sino-US joint venture university involving a strategic partnership between Duke University, Wuhan University, and the city of Kunshan.

The Career Services Office at Duke Kunshan University assists undergraduate and graduate students as well as alumni with discovering and refining their career pathways and ultimately realizing their future career goals. The office also works with other stakeholders especially corporate partners in developing career programs, recruitment events, and other collaboration opportunities.

Dean of Student Experience

Essential Duties:
1. Plan and lead the team to implement strategies for the office, to ensure services delivered to students and other stakeholders are at a high level and align with the university’s goals.
2. Manage overall operation of the Career Services Office, including operation, finance, employer relations, marketing & data reporting, programs & events etc.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to build partnerships to enrich career resources for students.
4. Plan and develop career programs that meet the needs of students’ academic and professional development.
5. Provide career coaching to students on 1-1 basis, design and deliver career workshop to students.
6. Represent the office to serve as the liaison with other partner offices such as enrollment office and alumni relation offices on university-level programs or projects, and collaborate with partner offices on resource development to ｃｒｅａｔｅ　synergy.
7. Represent the university at conferences or government meetings, to promote DKU brand and student outcomes.
8. Oversee and guide the team on data collection and analysis, and ensure accurate and efficient reporting to university leadership and government.
9. Coach the team on their professional development, to ensure the team is equipped with sufficient industry knowledge and career coaching skills.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
1. The candidate should at least possess an undergraduate degree. A graduate degree/MBA degree is preferred.
2. 10-15 years of work experience and over 7 years of experience in people management.
3. Experience in human resources, business development, or professional client service in an international environment preferred, with knowledge about major industries and functions.
4. Experience in working with stakeholders at different levels. Experience in career services or similar student-facing functions is a plus.
5. The candidate should be a people person with outstanding leadership skills and a strong passion for education, with a proper understanding of higher education in both China and the U.S.
6. Strong Chinese and English communication skills, both in writing and verbal.
7. Strong business sense and related business skills such as data analysis and presentation.
8. Team player with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
9. The successful candidate will be a person with a high level of maturity, confidence, and interpersonal skills.
