Position Overview:
The Chinese Student Services Coordinator reports to the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs. She/he works with the Assistant Dean to be responsible for all the affairs relevant to Youth League and the coordination of Youth League committees in the local area and upper government. She/he works closely with Chinese Student Services Coordinators, staff from Campus Engagement and Residence Life, counselors from Counseling & Psychological Services and other departments within and outside of Student Experience in planning, facilitating of Chinese students’ mobility, services and programs.

Essential Duties:
1. Be responsible for the affairs of Communist Youth League of Duke Kunshan University, including the management of Zhihui Tuanjian System.
2. Supervise Youth League branches in one year of class and be responsible for providing learning sessions and training of Communist Youth League members, and other works required by Communist Youth League of Suzhou and Jiangsu.
3. Assist volunteer programs and social practice that aligns the talents and interests of students to fulfill student personal growth and development.
4. Work with Assistant Dean to deal with the Youth League finance related works, such as reimbursement, procurement, budget planning.
5. Work with Assistant Dean to facilitate and assist the military training for Chinese Students.
6. Assist in delivery of campus-wide programs and activities, including activities during the Welcome Orientation Week, Family weekend program, etc.
7. Participate in a duty rotation to a quick response to student emergency crisis that occurs during off hours.
8. Assist to respond to the emails in public mailbox.
9. Assist in other works of Chinese Students Services Office if needed.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in social science, English language, higher education, administrative management of student affairs or a related area.
2. Fluency in English and Chinese; knowledge of and experience with Chinese university pattern and the Communist Youth League of China.
3. Excellent interpersonal communications skills both verbally and in writing to work with other departments; excellent organizing, coordinating and facilitating in project management.
4. Commitment to supporting an innovative, intercultural learning community with students, faculty, and staff from multiple countries and cultures.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. 1-2 years working experience in the Communist Youth League of China in Chinese university.
2. Desire to work in a team-oriented, dynamic, fast-paced, diverse environment.
3. Work effectively with contemporary technological skills including all sorts of online systems.
