Position Overview:
The Chinese Student Services Coordinator reports to the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs. She/he works with the Assistant Dean to be responsible for all the affairs relevant to Youth League ａｎｄ the coordination of Youth League committees in the local area ａｎｄ upper government. She/he works closely with Chinese Student Services Coordinators, staff ｆｒｏｍ Campus Engagement ａｎｄ Residence Life, counselors ｆｒｏｍ Counseling &amp； Psychological Services ａｎｄ other departments within ａｎｄ outside of Student Experience in planning, facilitating of Chinese students’ mobility, services ａｎｄ programs.

Assistant Dean of Student Affairs
Essential Duties:
1. Be responsible for the affairs of Communist Youth League of Duke Kunshan University, including the management of Zhihui Tuanjian System.
2. Supervise Youth League branches in one year of class ａｎｄ be responsible for providing learning sessions ａｎｄ training of Communist Youth League members, ａｎｄ other works required by Communist Youth League of Suzhou ａｎｄ Jiangsu.
3. Assist volunteer programs ａｎｄ social practice that aligns the talents ａｎｄ interests of students to fulfill student personal growth ａｎｄ development.
4. Work with Assistant Dean to deal with the Youth League finance related works, such as reimbursement, procurement, budget planning.
5. Work with Assistant Dean to facilitate ａｎｄ assist the military training for Chinese Students.
6. Assist in delivery of campus-wide programs ａｎｄ activities, including activities during the Welcome Orientation Week, Family weekend program, etc.
7. Participate in a duty rotation to a quick response to student emergency crisis that occurs during off hours.
8. Assist to respond to the emails in public mailbox.
9. Assist in other works of Chinese Students Services Office if needed.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in social science, English language, higher education, administrative management of student affairs ｏｒ a related area.
2. Fluency in English ａｎｄ Chinese； knowledge of ａｎｄ experience with Chinese university pattern ａｎｄ the Communist Youth League of China.
3. Excellent interpersonal communications skills both verbally ａｎｄ in writing to work with other departments； excellent organizing, coordinating ａｎｄ facilitating in project management.
4. Commitment to supporting an innovative, intercultural learning community with students, faculty, ａｎｄ staff ｆｒｏｍ multiple countries ａｎｄ cultures.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. 1-2 years working experience in the Communist Youth League of China in Chinese university.
2. Desire to work in a team-oriented, dynamic, fast-paced, diverse environment.
3. Work effectively with contemporary technological skills including all sorts of online systems.
