Position Overview:
The DKU Innovation ａｎｄ Entrepreneurship Initiative （DKU InE） serves as a platform ａｎｄ resource center to encourage innovation practice, nurture entrepreneurship, ａｎｄ transform ideas into actions with a meaningful impact. The DKU Innovation Incubator （Dii） focuses on cultivating ａｎｄ supporting startup ideas ｆｒｏｍ across the campus. We aim to leverage the dynamism ａｎｄ enthusiasm of young change-makers striving to have a positive impact on the world with their unique ideas ａｎｄ innovative products ａｎｄ services.
The Assistant Director for the DKU Innovation Incubator sustains ａｎｄ leverages the impact of the Dii. This role provides significant support to student entrepreneurs by coaching ａｎｄ developing training programs. It requires a dynamic manager capable of enhancing the operational effectiveness of the incubator, expanding its network of mentors ａｎｄ advisors； identifying ａｎｄ finding resources relevant to students ａｎｄ the DKU community； ａｎｄ supporting the development of a sustainable model for the entire innovation ａｎｄ entrepreneurship initiative.

Associate Director for Innovation ａｎｄ Entrepreneurship

Essential Duties:
1. Provide high-quality coaching ａｎｄ advisory support to students in various projects with the goal of cultivating an entrepreneurship culture ａｎｄ changemakers across campus.
2. Develop sustainable processes, procedures, ａｎｄ policies for the project&＃039；s recruitment, incubation, ａｎｄ completion with high quality.
3. Develop ａｎｄ maintain a network of industry professionals, entrepreneurs, ａｎｄ academic experts to serve as mentors ａｎｄ advisors for the incubator&＃039；s participants.
4. Initiate, nurture, ａｎｄ manage external partnerships with companies, non-profits, ａｎｄ governmental organizations within the innovation ａｎｄ entrepreneurship ecosystem.
5. Leverage internal partnerships with different disciplines to provide engagement opportunities for faculty ａｎｄ students.
6. Manage ａｎｄ maintain the data of the Incubator ａｎｄ prepare reports on program progress ａｎｄ outcomes for stakeholders, including local government, university administration, ａｎｄ funding bodies.
7. Develop ａｎｄ execute a strategy for the long-term growth of the Incubator ａｎｄ raise funds ｆｒｏｍ various institutes, such as governments, industries, ａｎｄ foundations.
8. Support research projects related to innovation, entrepreneurship, ａｎｄ higher education by collecting ａｎｄ summarizing information ｆｒｏｍ related programs.
9. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the incubator, including budget ａｎｄ resources to ensure they are sufficiently used.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
1. The candidate should at least possess an undergraduate degree. A graduate degree is preferred. Major in Business Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Technology Management, ｏｒ other related fields.
2. At least 5 years of substantial experience in the early-stage startup ecosystem ｏｒ running start-ups ｏｒ in-depth experience of developing ａｎｄ running an equivalent initiative with devising ａｎｄ delivering entrepreneurship education ａｎｄ training.
3. Fluent in Chinese ａｎｄ English with excellent writing skills.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of business in product design, planning, marketing, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, ａｎｄ sales.
5. Strong understanding of current technology trends, such as intelligence, blockchain, digital transformation ｏｒ the Internet of Things （IoT）.
6. Understanding of higher education ａｎｄ the fundamentals of Innovation ａｎｄ Entrepreneurship in universities.
7. Experience working with young entrepreneurs, knowing how to leverage their strengths, inspire them, ａｎｄ understand their challenges.
8. Able to coach ａｎｄ advise students on their startup ideas, assist them in finding relevant resources, ａｎｄ provide guidance for success.
9. Excellent networking ａｎｄ communication skills ａｎｄ analytical capabilities.
10. Ability to build positive relationships across organizations.
11. Possess certain research skills, able to draft proposals, collect, ａｎｄ analyze information.
